Friday the 28th of September

Today's chemotherapy went extremely well. Mom was a little scared anticipating what very well could have been a very difficult procedure. After a few hours of waiting she was nicely surprised to feel nothing at all when the chemotherapy was administered. The only complaint of discomfort came after they attached the port for the IV fluids to her chest. Geisinger Hospital has a very comfortable facility and the nurses and physician assistants that took care of us were incredibly comforting and pleasant. After our second unfortunate run in with the local CVS pharmacy (who truly needs to get their act together) mom received a few doses of the Tarseva drug previously mentioned. So far there have been no side effects from the chemotherapy. Please pray for mom's comfort and healing. We cannot see the effect the chemo is having on the cancer but we pray that God will use the chemo to get rid of the cancer. Please pray to that end. Also pray for mom's comfort through all of this and you can also pray that her blood count would remain high enough to continue treatments without interruption.

If you have a transmittable disease or infection (such as a cold, the flu, a virus of some sort) please call the house before visiting. If mom's blood count is too low, it will be easier for her to "catch something" which could potentially interrupt her treatment. The visits have been a great comfort to our mom. Keep them coming.

So proud of you mom. You were very brave. Way to fight! It was also nice for me to spend some time with you, despite our location. I love you very much.

Hi Lynne,
We noticed on the clock when we were doing Science class on Friday afternoon that it was after 1:00 so we stopped and prayed for you!
then back to reading about how God protects animals...porcupines with quills, skunks with stinky spray, turtles with shells, etc...He cares about animals, even for Super Chicken :) how much more He cares about those He died on the cross for! May He continue to carry you!
Remember...your name is engraved on the palms of HIS hands!! Love and Prayers, Jane Quigley

Lynne-
Our God is an awesome God, who loves you so much. The song, "He Knows my Name" is what I am thinking about today for you:
"I have a Maker, He calls me His own. He'll never leave me, no matter where I go. He knows my name, He knows my every thought. He sees each tear that falls & hears me when I call". Many are calling in for you today. Love, Marlita

I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet ona rock and gave me a firm place to stand. he put a new song in my mouth a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord.
Psalm 40:1-3
The speaker in chapel this morning shared how he had overcome a battle with ALL, a type of luekemia which is rare in adults. He found this verse to be very helpful during his struggle so I thought you might appreciate it. He fought and won with God's strength! You can too!

"sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters.!.... a favorite song of ours but today I looked up the word devoted and it expresses all Lynne has been to me and all of you reading this. " dedicated, faithful, loyal, very loving , consecreted." There is no better description. How I anxiously wait upon the Lord for your full recovery . Three times from three human sources has God specifically chosen Isaiah 41: 9-13 to hold me up. I'm clinging to His promises, the One who says that nothing is impossible for Him and loving His word in Isaiah 64:4 that says, Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who ACTS on behalf of those who wait for him. Now, if only I can get myself together, I'll be heading up!! Love, Sandy

HI Lynne,
I have now tried to leave a message a few times, but they don't seem to go through. Anyway, I really want you to know that I have been praying for you. That your needs have never been far from my thougths and prayers. I know that the Lord is holding you up and carrying you through this difficult time. He will be your strength and shield during your entire recovery. We claim His promise to never leave us or forsake us. I know that God is with you.

Josh colored a picture and stayed perfectly in the lines. Brian and I were surprised by his accuracy. He responded, "Mrs. Ott has given me lessons!"

Oh we love you!

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We can know our times are in His hands. So all the time for every circumstance, we are in His hands. You are there. The battle is not ours, but the Lord's. When you are tired, others are lifting you up. God Bless you. Kathy Hunter
