Friday the 21st of September

Today's biopsy results confirmed that the pancreatic cancer has spread, so the treatment plan will follow the path discussed at the last appointment over a week ago. We will start chemo monday. Please pray with us that the Chemo would shrink and even wipe out all of the cancer that has spread and that the chemo would start to shrink the tumor in mom's pancreas making it operable.

Dr. Sheldon remained hopeful, saying that mom is in great health (except for this bout with cancer), seems physically up to the challenge and is younger than most people who go through this kind of cancer and treatment.

Dr. Sheldon hands us off to Dr. White, our new chemotherapy doctor, on monday. Please pray that the chemo treatment will go well and that it will start to shrink the cancer imediately.

Thank you so much for all of your support, comments, cards, gifts and visits. Please continue the flow of support and prayer, it has been a great encouragement to our Mom and our entire family.

If you would like to order a wristband (to show your support for mom, help with her medical bills and remind you to pray for her) please email Josh or send a check for two dollars to his home address with a return address so that we can, mail one (or more than one) back to you.
Or just bump into him somewhere and he can hand you one. We have lots of these things so don't be shy ;)

Lynne,
My heart is crying for your whole family as I know the pain you are all going through. But, glory to God, we always have HOPE!!!! Us Baldwins are fighters and have seen first-hand the power of BELIEVING through His merciful grace He bestowed on Steve. Our family and church is going into battle for you in our prayers. I have also put you on the prayer list of Joyce Meyer. As my "big" cousin, I've always admired and looked up to you since I was young. I still do. Keep believing, with no doubts, and we can move mountains (the tumor). Love you lots, Kathy

Hi Lynne and Randy. We're praying for you all. Josh has done a wonderful job setting up the blog so we can know how to pray.

"I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me. No wonder my heart is filled with joy and my mouth shouts His praises. My body rests in hope." Ps. 16:8-9

Lynne,
Thank you for crying that one Christmas Eve several years ago, as I faced such struggles. Your tears expressed how I felt, and your empathy still speaks to me today. Love you!

Hi Lynne, Someone just sent me a card with this verse and I wanted to share it with you.
Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto Hime be Glory.." Eph. 3:20
Remember that "when you can't - He Can!" He will give you and Randy the strength to face each day. Love ya! Lisa
