Monday the 29th of October

What a busy weekend we all had. First it was an exciting day following chemotherapy: Taylor, Caleb and myself all crashed at Mom's Saturday morning. Her energy left the three of us (who were exhausted) feeling a bit jealous. Mom's energy carried her through Saturday and a busy Sunday at my house with a crew from GEFC and our family. Of course mom is always entertained when Matt starts smirking. This is because when Matt starts smirking, trouble is in the air and the Otts love trouble (despite what our very down to earth, mild mannered reputation might suggest). Luke panicked when Matt convinced him to be in charge of the hayride from the trailer and then added..."and Luke start yelling if we are going to hit (the ground), because someone or everyone will probably get thrown off (the trailer)." It wasn't long after that Luke started yelling like it was the end of the world (Luke gets frightened easily). Matt just laughed and laughed and egged Luke on some more. Good Times! Tonight, Mom/Granny had a little elephant show up at her door looking for some tricks or some treats. What a fun night. With all of this fun please pray that mom will be able to catch up on some rest and please pray for her body and the chemo as they fight the cancer. Thanks for all of the love you have poured on us these past few months...keep it coming (especially in the form of your wonderful comments.)

I read your blog and pray for you and your family daily. What an amazing weekend you had with your family. I bet the changing of the leaves are beautiful. It reminds me of how amazing our Creator is. Be strong running the race and fighting the fight.

Hi Lynne, Randy, sounds like you guys had a fun weekend. Wish we were there to be a part of those times. Praising God for your "Always Try To Win, Never Give Up Attitude". Another praise God to report, Last week Linda and I went to San Diego to visit Heather's family and left early do to the fires. Heather and the family were evacuated the following day. It did not look good that their house would be spared but Praise God it did. It brings a new focus on life when you need to pack up the important things in a car and drive away. The important things are family and all are doing fine. Ps. the grandkids came out to be with us during the evacuation. Too much fun was had by all.

Luke's comment about the best looking son brought a good laugh, must take after me. :)

Praying for you daily Lynne, Keep up the good fight.

Love You Guys

Wow. Now I'm sorry I decided to catch up on things at home after spending three days in Media instead of going to the Fall Fling. Sounds like I missed a lot of fun. You are such a great example to us all the way you don't allow cancer to stop you from living. Keep up that can-do attitude. God will enable you to do so. He will supply your every need and is able to do more than we could ever imagine.

Hi Lynne,
It was great seeing you at the Fall Fling on Sunday at Josh and Jen's house. Hopefully you've had a chance to warm up! Speaking of Josh, I bet he looked really cute showing up on your door step wearing his little elephant suit. He forgot to mention what Taylor was wearing......Praise God for your continued progress!!!

I could only guess who wrote that. Actually I have no clue who wrote that it could be any number of usual suspects. Hmmmmm.
Anyway Mom, love you lots.

Lynne (and family): I've been using this quote from Robert Schuller during the past year: "JOY is not the abscence of trial. JOY is the presence of God!" Remember... "the JOY of the LORD is OUR strength!"
Char and I send our love.
