Friday the 19th of October

Mom's white blood count and platelet count are back up! So the 4th gemsar treatment will begin any minute. Mom was also elated to find out that she will only need 4 shots (previously 5)to maintain her white blood cell count. Dr. White laid out the treatment plan for mom today as well. She will continue with chemotherapy every week for 7 weeks (this was week 4) and then mom will go onto a 3 week on 1 week off cycle. Dr. White is going to get a catscan and run some tests after week 7 to see how the treatment has been working. Mom was very encouraged by the visit she had to Geisinger this week. Keep praying that the chemo would destroy the cancer and that mom's blood counts will be stable enough to allow her to finish the last 3 chemotherapy sessions in this phase of the treatment.

Hi Lynne,
So glad you had a good day after a hard week. We keep praying in Philly. One of my students requests prayer for "your friend's sister, Lynne" every morning. Asking kids to pray for things is one way to make sure the request is never forgotten!! You are loved. Jane and 2nd graders, plus CGCA faculty (including Art Hummel and Linda Woods, remember them?!)

It was so great talking to you on
the phone yesterday, Lynne.
You sound so good and I'd love
to meet you sometime soon.
So happy you were able to have
your treatment. I know how important that is. Keep your
chin up and praise God.
Have a good weekend and rest when
you need it. Your body will tell
you when you have to rest.
Lots of love and prayers,
Vicky D.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to GOD; and the peace of GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Pilippians 4:20

I see that the comments have been a bit slow for the last day or two, so let me assure you that there are tons of prayers being lifted up for you to our precious Lord Jesus. Besides all the huge gifts of life, salvation, the Holy Spirit, et. al., check out the summer weather He has given us all week!! Let those beautiful leaves and that warm breeze touch you with His love.

Hope you enjoyed worship on Sunday. I was so bummed that we all got sick and I couldn't sing. My Redeemer Lives is one of my favorites! I feel like I need a choir robe and a tambourine.
