Thursday the 8th of November

Wow, it has been almost two months since mom was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer. Mom has been handling the treatments well and is in less pain than this summer, so we have a lot to be thankful for. We are also thankful for all of you. Your outpouring of love and support has been incredible.

Here is someone special that we are also so thankful for...
I wanted to take a moment and introduce you to our new friend. Her name is Vicky (aka from blog comments: Vicky D). Vicky received the same diagnosis as mom this past spring. To date she is 20 treatments into getting better and is doing great. It has been a great joy to have been encouraged by her story and emails as she is winning the battle against pancreatic cancer! Please pray for Vicky, she has become so important to us.

Mom's goes for treatment number 7 this week. Her laboratory tests are scheduled for 1:15, followed by an office visit at 2:00 and if all of her blood levels are sufficient she will receive her Gemsar treatment at 2:30. Please continue to pray for mom's blood levels, weight and treatment.

Your mom was my daughter's preschool teacher several years ago. She is truly a wonderful woman and has deeply touched our lives. I saw her several times at Curves with that beautiful smile and friendly disposition. I have a good friend who is a pancreatic cancer survivor. She is currently cancer free for over a year. Don't ever lose the faith! God is with you every step of the way ! Remember our thoughts and prayers are always with you ! Linda Hartz

Today I read in Beth Moore's Breaking Free devotional, " Exodus 20:6 ...showing faithful love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commands. The Hebrew word for "showing" in this means 'to construct, to build." Right there in the context of generational influence, God promises to build blessing on the lives of those who love Him and obey Him. The Ancient of Days is anxiously waiting to build a solid foundation that your decendants can live on for years to come if they choose. If you do your part for one generation, He'll do His for a thousand. I don't know how much longer Christ will tarry, but I don't expect Him to linger a thousand generations. That means you life could affect every generation until He comes. Isn't that worth it?"... Great stuff today for our wonderful parents have passed on a solid foundation to our lives and our children's. today we proclaim it for you Lynne . Much pray and praise at our Morning prayer time at Ginger's. Glory!!

It's Friday evening and I'm praying you were able to receive your seventh treatment. Seven. Certainly one of God's favorite numbers for good things. Keep on believing that the medicine is doing its job and God is doing His job as the Great Physician. Love you.
PS to Vicky. I am praying for your healing and so grateful for the encouragement you have been to Lynne, her family, and all of us who read this blog. God bless you.

Hi Lynne, I saw many friends from Cedar Grove Faculty who remember you and wanted me to let you know that they are praying for you. I'm reminded tonight that God is faithful and will continue to carry you through. Love, Lisa
